Eclectus - Carolyn Swicegood

Carolyn Swicegood is the owner of the popular "Land of Vos" Eclectus web site and "The Eclectus Connection", a ParrotTalk Email list with more than 1,500 members. She devotes a good deal of time to the list in an effort to help educate other Eclectus devotees. She has dedicated many years to her small flock of Vosmaeri Eclectus parrots.

Carolyn served for the past five years as Associate Editor of Watchbird Magazine, the AFA Journal, and she currently writes for several other avian publications. Her upcoming book is a long-awaited publication about Eclectus parrots and their care.

Carolyn devotes most of her time to birds and to writing. Besides the freelance writing that she does, she enjoys writing the Wing Tips column for Watchbird Magazine, the "Kitchen Physician" series of articles for Winged Wisdom, an on-line magazine. Most of her articles reflect her intense interest in the nutritional requirements of parrots and in alternative forms of treatment and care for parrots.
