I was thinking of getting another bird
BFA biting threw my arm, I assumed it was hormones.
No luck on him stepping up.
Doesn't like to be showered.
He is testing me for something, but not sure what.
I noticed some skin flaking off, worried about feather and beak disease.

What causes him to shake like that?
He was wheezing, but better by the afternoon.
Displays his tail more frequently now and notice those eyes!

I would just like to be able to pick my husbands bird
(Converting to pellets) How long can parrots go without food?

You asked how I got Pepper to stop biting......
Well he lunged off the cage trying to attack me.....
The problem was he had prolapsed his cloaca....

I need some experience advice from any one having adopted a untamed Amazon.
He never steps up once he is out on a stand, always flies off first to the floor.
Do you have any Lilac-Crowns? How are they in the aviary if you do?
My vet informed me the parvipes has a horn colored beak.
The hen was sold to me as YCA now I assumed a more experienced breeder then me would not mistaken a expensive panama for a YCA well it happened.

What I am new to, and am having a lot a problems with, is a wild caught Double Yellow Head. I adopted her from as local rescue organization.
They do seem a lot more content to play by themselves then they Greys  do.
Can you tell me what an Amazon is doing when they kind of lay on top of the cage, beak in the bars, wings spread and don't want to be bothered?

At what age do amazons usually begin to talk?

Amazon aroma. What do you think affects the aroma?

I am looking to get my first Amazon and I am pretty sure that I have  decided upon a lilac-crowned.
Do amazons tail flare and eye flash if they are happy?
How can I really tell if "Sassy" my Nape is Fearful or just plain old "Self Will"?
He plucks his feathers out on the top of his wings at times.
