How To Use This Tutorial:
I recommend that you read the article it's entirety before trying to apply the methods described, When you are ready to try the method on your own image leave the article open so that you can flip back and forth between the article and the image you are working on. Overview: Step 1: Convert to Black and White In the top menu click on FILTER / BLACK AND WHITE CONVERSION
Step 2: Select the Minus Brush The minus brush is used to subtract from an applied step. The step that we applied was the conversion to black and white, when we use the brush to subtract from that step we will recover the color wherever area we use the brush on. In the case of this tutorial we are going to recover the color of the goats eyes. To select the minus brush click on the MINUS SIGN OF THE BRUSH TOOL.
When you select the minus brush the "Selection Brush Option" menu will open. Use the top slider and adjust the brush to a suitable size to use with the goats eyes. Note the minus sign symbol inside the brush icon indicating that the bush is in negative mode.
Step 4: Recovering the Color Carefully move the brush over the area where you want to recover the color. Note: If you make a mistake you can correct it easily by holding down the ALT key and going over where the error is. Take note that when you hold down the ALT key the symbol inside the brush changes from a minus symbol to a plus symbol.
